Open Subjects
Go to Configuration → Exam → Exam Settings → Subjects, or Institute Setup → More settings → Exam Settings → Subjects. The original standalone resource route is also retained.
Classic opens first unless you saved another choice. Try the new layout and View old layout switch both ways. Make this my default or Make old layout my default saves your own institute-specific choice shared by these four resource lists; other users keep theirs. Explicit layout links override the saved choice for that visit; a failed save preserves the previous default and offers Retry. Inside Exam Settings or Institute Setup, the old/new switch keeps the same container, selected resource and current unsaved form draft. It does not save the draft. Existing standalone pages remain available.
Review the list and download files
Search and column filters keep the original case-insensitive substring matching. Headers use the original numeric-aware two-state ascending/descending sorting, including empty and zero values. Pages change only the visible rows. Excel and PDF include all matching sorted rows across pages, with the original export columns and filenames. Browser Print retains the visible local page and existing form content, not every matching page; no separate Print action or CSV export is added.
Existing actions and loading
Create, Edit, Cancel edit and confirmed Delete keep the original validation, requests and access boundaries. Loading/saving or failed required choices block stale list actions and authored selector callbacks. Retry reloads the failed resource or required choice request. These settings do not send messages, and changing layout does not grant access. Choosing another resource does not save the current draft.
Use the original Subjects form
Use Subject Name, Subject Group, Grading Type and Show in Diary as before. The original first-group default, Marks/Checkbox/Direct Grading choices and Diary checkbox meaning remain. Edit keeps the original record; Cancel edit leaves it unchanged. Up/Down uses the complete stored list order, independent of grid review filters or sorting. Delete retains confirmation and server restrictions.
