Library Fine income account
Open New → Library → Fines, select an unpaid fine and choose Record payment. The payment panel shows the dedicated Library Fine income account. You do not need to choose another income account for each payment.
The account is created automatically under an active Income group with a zero opening balance. Existing general fine accounts, inactive accounts, opening balances and older receipts remain unchanged. New library receipts retain their Library Fine account mapping; retrying an uncertain payment keeps the original receipt and mapping.
Open Finance → Account Chart to see the account. The library receipt records cash collected and its income mapping. It does not automatically post a Finance journal: the existing library collection report still shows whether a receipt has been posted to the general ledger.
If the panel says the income account is unavailable, ask your administrator to prepare Finance accounts before recording the payment. Do not record the same receipt elsewhere to work around an uncertain save; retry the original payment first.
