Your school's assistant is one of Hina, Hania, Yumna or Saba — the EDUBase support assistant on every page of the EDUBase web. Every school has its own assistant, and she always greets you by the same name and picture. Her picture sits at the bottom right of the screen.
Open and move the assistant
- Click her picture to open the chat. Use the buttons in the chat header to dock it beside the page, float it, drag it as a popup or open it as a full dialog.
- Press ✕ to minimise. She becomes a small card with her name and picture that stays on every page you open. Drag the card anywhere; it stays where you left it, even after you reload.
- A gentle heartbeat on her picture means she is ready. While she is working on an answer the heartbeat stops and a green dot shows instead. If your computer is set to reduce motion, the picture stays still.
What to ask
Ask in English, Urdu or Roman Urdu — the answer comes back in the language you used. The assistant answers from the EDUBase guides, shows your school's own data (for example the student list or the fee defaulters) according to your privileges, and can do a job for you on the screen, showing you everything before anything is saved. Hina, Hania, Yumna and Saba are the same assistant with the same abilities — only the name and picture differ.
Talk to your Human Support Person
Not sure, or need something only the support team can do? Press Talk to your Human Support Person under the chat. The assistant tells you who she is connecting you to — your school's own EDUBase support person, or the EDUBase support lead when none is set — and your full chat is shared with them. Their reply appears in the same chat, with the ticket number and the time they will reply by.
