Open the student report hub on the Owner Dashboard or Owner App to see admissions, leavers and inactive students, and use the student lists by class for class strength. Leavers are kept in their own view, so counts stay clear.
Where does an owner see student numbers in EDUBase?
The web dashboard and the Owner App show new admissions and leavers, together with today's income, expenses, attendance percentage and fee defaulters. You can view one campus or all campuses combined.
The student report hub sits alongside the employee and financial hubs. It lists reports such as admissions and inactive students, so the questions an owner asks most often are in one place.
How do I see how many students are in each class?
Class strength comes from the student records themselves. Every student is linked to a campus, class and section, and the same records feed fees, attendance and exams. The class count therefore matches what the rest of the system sees.
If your school has set class capacity limits, you can compare current strength against the seats allowed for each class or section. Admissions stop, or go to approval, when a class is full.
- Choose the campus first, or view all campuses.
- Filter the student list by class and section to see who is enrolled.
- Compare the count with the seat limit set under Admission Capacity.
How do I compare new admissions and left students this month?
Use the admissions and inactive students reports in the student report hub, and set the date range to the current month. Admissions are counted from the admission records. Leavers are students marked as left with a leaving date.
The Owner Dashboard also shows new admissions and leavers directly, which is the quickest check for a daily or weekly review.
- New admissions: students admitted in the month, including those approved after an approval step.
- Left students: students marked left, each with a leaving date.
- Returning children: a student can be re-activated, so check the status before reading the numbers.
Why do leavers not disappear from the system?
When a student leaves, the school marks them with a leaving date. The record and its history are kept. A separate view called Students Not Currently Enrolled keeps old dues, challans and payment history reachable.
This means a leaver does not vanish from your finance picture. It also means your active class strength is not inflated by children who have already left.
How can I check that the numbers are right?
The Student change log shows who changed a student's class, fee or status, and when. If a count looks odd, check it for status edits made in bulk.
The AI Account Scanning & Auditing feature runs a read-only scan that lists records which look contradictory, for example a student who is enrolled but has a leaving date. A person confirms each case, and nothing is changed automatically.
Which view answers which question?
