Open the assignment page
This is the existing Admission Queries assignment address. Start with selected students; it is not a new menu button. Existing access permissions remain unchanged. With no selected students, the page returns to its original student list.
Choose your layout
Classic opens first unless you save another default. Use Try the new layout or View old layout to switch. A layout in the page address takes priority for that visit. Failed default saves keep the previous choice and offer Retry. Switching views is not an assignment or save action.
Choose an exam hall
Choose Campus, then Exam Class and Exam Section. Update waits until both Exam Class and Exam Section are chosen and any current assignment finishes. The choices label the student’s exam seating; they do not change the student’s regular class or section.
Update selected students
Press Update to assign the chosen exam class and section to the selected students. There is no extra confirmation step. The page keeps its original completion behavior without adding a new destination.
If choices cannot load
In the new view, Retry exam hall reads retries the campus, class or section choices that could not load. While required choices are loading or unavailable, the form waits without discarding your current choices. During an assignment, the fields and Update wait until that request finishes. Switching views does not retry an assignment or submit it again.
Keep your place
Switching views keeps your selections and current page address. It does not select more students, publish slips or send a message.
This page adds no Print or export action. Browser printing keeps the original rendered scope; changing layout does not print automatically.
