Open the page
Open Old → Admin → Upload Students. This page keeps its existing staff menu and access rules.
Choose your layout
Classic opens first unless you save another default. Use Try the new layout or View old layout to switch. A layout in the page address takes priority for that visit. Failed default saves keep the previous choice and offer Retry. Switching views keeps your current entries and page address; it does not import or save students. Existing access remains unchanged.
Prepare the student file
Upload Students accepts a CSV file containing student data without fees. The class_id, section_id, session_id, feeplanlist_id and group_id columns must use the corresponding names from EDUBase Core settings as stated on the page. Use Download Sample Template when you need the original example format.
Import the file
Select your CSV. Leave Update Students clear for the original create option, or select it for the existing update option. Import submits directly without an extra confirmation. Wait while the request is pending; do not submit the same file again. A successful request clears the selected file; a failed request keeps it so you can correct the problem and retry Import. An accepted, queued request does not mean the student import has finished. Check the import result before relying on new or updated records.
Keep your draft
Switching views keeps the selected file and Update Students choice. The sample download remains a separate button; switching views does not download it. No student export is added.
While importing
The upload page has no information lists to reload. While an import request is pending, wait for its outcome before making another submission. A failed import is not replayed automatically; check your file and use Import again when ready.
Native Print
Native Print keeps the original rendered form and control visibility. No new paper format is added.
