Freeze fees without changing student status
Open Admissions → Pay or Print Fee Challans → Try the new layout. Tick the requested months, then choose Freeze / unfreeze fees. All installments of each selected student month are included. Enter the promised clearance date and a reason. The student’s current status stays unchanged; an active student continues attendance, exams and other activities.
What parents owe now
Current Payable excludes frozen unpaid balances. Total Frozen Fee shows what is deferred; Grand Total includes both. Payments and discounts already recorded are not frozen again. A freeze is not a discount or fee cancellation.
Automatic and manual clearance
At the start of the promised date in Pakistan time, the frozen amount automatically becomes payable again. This happens on every read and reminder check and does not depend on a scheduled job. To collect earlier, select those months and choose Unfreeze now before recording payment. New fee reminders exclude frozen months, including notices prepared with fee references while waiting in the queue.
Review older queued messages first
If an older pending admission message has no fee references, freezing is blocked until the school reviews those messages for the student and their family. The review message does not mean that every older admission message is a fee reminder. Freezing never cancels messages automatically: preserve receipts and unrelated messages, and cancel only a specific fee reminder after an authorized review. Unfreeze now remains available, and promised-date clearance still restores the unpaid balance automatically.
The older Frozen student status is different: it pauses the student’s activities. Do not change student status for a fee promise.
