Open Update GL Groups
Open Finance → GL Groups, then use the existing Update action.
Choose your layout
Classic opens first unless a different default is saved. Try the new layout and View old layout switch both ways. Each account family shares its choice across its list, Create, Update and View. Explicit layout links override the saved default for that visit. Failed preference saves retain the previous choice and offer Retry.
On the same child, switching retains its identifier, query values, hash, navigation state and mounted form draft. Existing Create, View, Update, Cancel and breadcrumb links remain their original bare destinations. List filters may reset when switching.
Original rules and recovery
System-defined groups with IDs 1–11 keep all fields and Update disabled. For other groups with linked accounts, Account Class stays locked while name and status follow the original rules. Layout choice never changes these restrictions. Loading, saving or failed record metadata hides stale fields and print and blocks callbacks. Retry repeats the failed query. Original missing-ID and error navigation remains.
Browser Print
The original complete loaded list or saved form/View values remain in browser Print. Added help and context stay excluded; original hidden actions remain hidden. Layout switching does not save, delete, post a transaction or send a message. No new permission or financial operation is added.
