Open Old vs New Ledger
Open Finance → Old vs New Ledger.
Choose your layout
Classic opens first unless you save another default. Try the new layout and View old layout switch both ways. A layout in the page address takes priority for that visit. Failed default saves keep the previous choice and offer Retry. Switching views retains current inputs and the page address; it does not import accounts, post or reverse a journal, close a period or post opening balances.
Comparison and opening draft
Keep the original As at date, comparison figures, statuses and Only show accounts needing attention filter. Set opening balances keeps the original draft account rows and local debit or credit edits, with the original balancing and suspense-account rules. Posting opening balances remains a separate financial action. Original Print keeps the current rendered comparison, including its attention filter and any open draft; it does not add hidden records.
Loading and recovery
The new view disables data controls while required active reads or actions are pending. Retry ledger reads retries the exact failed active reads. Closing previews and opening drafts are read and retried only while their original panels are open. A later read failure hides stale values while retaining the original form and table.
Original scope
Print retains the original rendered fields and returned rows. No search, sorting, export, selection or paging controls are added. Original amounts, dates, permissions and accounting rules remain unchanged.
