Open Ledger Setup
Open Finance → Ledger Setup.
Choose your layout
Classic opens first unless you save another default. Try the new layout and View old layout switch both ways. A layout in the page address takes priority for that visit. Failed default saves keep the previous choice and offer Retry. Switching views retains current inputs and the page address; it does not import accounts, post or reverse a journal, close a period or post opening balances.
Setup and Accounts
The existing Ledger Setup and Ledger Accounts addresses show the same setup page and share one layout choice. Keep the original account, period and journal counts, account-type counts and legacy orphan details. Copy my accounts across or Copy across any new accounts retains the original import and permissions. Switching views does not copy accounts or change either set of books.
Loading and recovery
The new view disables data controls while required active reads or actions are pending. Retry ledger reads retries the exact failed active reads. Closing previews and opening drafts are read and retried only while their original panels are open. A later read failure hides stale values while retaining the original form and table.
Original scope
Print retains the original rendered fields and returned rows. No search, sorting, export, selection or paging controls are added. Original amounts, dates, permissions and accounting rules remain unchanged.
