Choose your Student Change Log view

Choose a view while reading a student’s recorded changes.

Open a student’s history

Open Manage Students or Admission Queries, select one student and use Change Log. Existing authenticated Change Log addresses under All Students and Students by User also open the same history page; these addresses do not add a button to either list. The history belongs to that student; opening a bare address without a valid student does not establish an empty history. Existing access permissions remain unchanged.

Choose your layout

Classic opens first unless you save another default. Use Try the new layout or View old layout to switch. A layout in the page address takes priority for that visit. If saving a default fails, your previous choice remains; try saving again. Switching views keeps the student address and your current filters; it does not change a student record.

Read and filter the history

Read each recorded change, its old and new values, the person who made it and its date and time. Choose a category, search this history, choose a person or set a date range. Clear removes those filters. The displayed count follows the filters. Not recorded means an editor’s name was not recorded; it does not identify who made the change.

Use the summary

A summary may appear when it is available for this student. Read the recorded entries before acting on its suggestions. Regenerate asks for another summary; switching layouts does not regenerate it. An unavailable summary does not replace the recorded history.

If the history cannot load

In the new view, Retry student history reads retries the current student’s failed history read. It does not regenerate the summary. Keep the correct student address when retrying.

Print

Print uses the original rendered history and its existing paper layout. Switching views does not print or create another copy automatically.
