Daily value in the apps
EDUBase controls rollout in CRM Dashboard → Feature Rollout. Both new switches start OFF. Existing Vacation Work, Assignments and fee details keep their usual behavior.
Owner reminders
Owner App → Home → Today’s Brief shows distinct enrolled students with missing guardian contact, date of birth or guardian name, grouped by class. A student missing several fields counts once in the affected total. Any supported usable guardian contact is sufficient. Open Fix profiles to reach Admissions → Manage Students with the same field, campus and class filter; use Update to correct the record. Photo is not required. Existing attendance, fee collection, leave approval and birthday cards use recorded school data.
Parent controls and family fees
Parents App → Home → Family updates lists only your linked children. The Home family outstanding-fee bar stays visible when a sibling still owes fees, even when another child is selected. It excludes future challans, subtracts recorded payments and discounts, and does not collect money. Open a child’s Fee Details to check the individual challans. Pay now remains unavailable. Birthdays show only your own linked child, never classmates.
Arrival reminder
EMS → General → App Engagement → Arrival reminders selects a campus, enablement and a grace period (default five minutes). After the class/section shift start plus grace, an unconfirmed QR/face check-in can show “Your child has not reached school yet”. It is a reminder to check, not a marked absence. A real recent gate record is required before the reminder is offered; closed days, recorded leave/off-days, existing check-ins, missing shifts and school-day end suppress it. A network or gate delay may postpone a recorded check-in. Contact the school when unsure.
Choose each notification
Family updates → Notification preferences lets each parent independently choose fees, birthdays, quizzes, vacation work and arrival alerts, with quiet start/end times. New types start muted. Owner App → Today’s Brief → Notification settings offers separate reminder types alongside time slots and quiet time. Muting notifications keeps in-app content. Reminders are deduplicated; only private registered devices linked to the same account are eligible. This feature sends no SMS, WhatsApp or email.
Vacation learning and quizzes
Use General → Vacation Work for holiday text/files and General → Student Assignments for submissions and teacher feedback. Their saved history remains separate. General → App Engagement → Publish a vacation quiz selects campus, class, optional section, subject, due time and one to five attempts. Add multiple-choice questions and choose each correct option before Publish. Parents open Family updates → quiz, answer all questions and submit; the saved result appears immediately. Results lists each active pupil’s latest score or Pending. Archive stops new access while retaining results. A repeated submission with the same request is saved once. All times are school local.
Measured use
Actual use shows daily unique people and events for the last seven days: visible card views, opens, dismissals, quiz completions and notification choices. Generating an API response alone is not a view. Analytics contain feature identifiers and internal anonymous references, not names, dates of birth, contact values or message text. School privileges and campus access still apply. Parent–teacher emergency oversight and photo reminders remain deferred.
