A login QR signs a person in to the EDUBase Teacher App or the EDUBase Owner App without typing the school code, username or password. They scan it with the phone's camera (or with Scan QR to sign in on the app's login screen) and the app opens already signed in.
Teacher App QR codes (for your staff)
- Go to HRM → Manage Employees.
- For one person, click the QR button in their row and choose Teacher App QR. Show it on your screen or print it.
- For everyone at once, click Print Teacher App QR sheet. If you have ticked some staff, the sheet has only them; otherwise it has every active staff member whose Teacher App is switched on. Print it and hand each person their own square.
A person must already have the Teacher App switched on, with a Teacher App username, on their employee form. Anyone without it is listed under the sheet so you can fix their form first.
How long a QR works
- Each QR works once. After it signs someone in, it cannot be used again.
- A Teacher App QR expires after 48 hours. An Owner App QR expires after 15 minutes.
- Making a new QR for the same person cancels their older one, so only the newest QR works.
- Keep the printed sheet private and cut it up before handing it out. Anyone who scans a person's square first signs in as that person.
Owner App QR codes
EDUBase support can show the school owner or admin an Owner App QR during a call. It lasts 15 minutes. You can also ask EDUBase support to send the link on WhatsApp.
Who can make QR codes
Staff with the HRM :: App Login QR privilege (Admin → Users & Privileges). Give it only to people who may sign other staff in.
If the QR does not work
- "This QR has already been used or has expired" — make a new one.
- "This account does not have access to this application" — switch the app on for that person first, then make a new QR.
- If the camera opens a web page instead of the app, tap Open in the app, or install the app from Google Play and scan again.
