General › Notice Board — the screen is headed Student Notice Board — is where the school posts a notice or announcement for parents: a holiday, a circular, a change in timings, a reminder. Each notice runs between two dates, can carry an attachment you upload, and is read by parents in the Parents App.
It is posted from the web portal. The Teacher App has no announcement option — teachers send diary work, not school notices — and notices for staff are a different screen, HRM › Employee Extras › Employee Notice Board.
Steps
- Open General › Notice Board and press + Add Notice.
- Write the Title and the Description. The Title is what parents see in the app alert, so give every notice one.
- Set From and To. Parents see the notice in the app only between those two dates — the list calls it Display Duration.
- Attachments — upload one or more jpg, pdf, mp3 or mp4 files. A picture or PDF is previewed before you save, so a scanned circular or a poster can go out as it is.
- Choose who gets it: switch on All Students, or leave it off and tick Classes. Picking a Campus first narrows the class list to that campus; leaving Campus empty sends to those classes in every campus. Clear Selection empties the form again.
- Press Save Notice.
It will not save until From and To are both filled in and To is not earlier than From, there is a description or at least one attachment, and either All Students is on or at least one class is ticked.
The notification parents receive
Saving the notice pushes a notification to the Parents App of every family it targets — it arrives as Announcement Alert 📢 and carries the notice title.
That push goes out only when From is today or a later date. A notice back-dated to last week is saved and still shows in the app for its remaining days, but nobody is alerted about it.
Reading the list
Each row shows the Targeted Audiences (All Students, Selected Classes or Selected Campus Classes), Delivered to — how many students it was addressed to, counted at the moment it was saved — and Viewed By, how many of them opened it in the app. Attachments open from the row as Attachment1, Attachment2.
Common confusion
"I need to correct a notice." There is no edit. Delete the row (it asks for a confirmation) and add the notice again; deleting takes it off the parents' app too, and it cannot be undone.
"Parents say nothing arrived." Check the dates first — a notice whose display period has passed is gone from the app, and a back-dated one never alerted anyone. Then check the family is on the Parents App at all; a notice reaches only the classes you ticked.
