Open View Challan Settings
Open Old → Challan Settings, then use the existing View action.
Choose your layout
Classic opens first unless another default is saved. Try the new layout and View old layout switch both ways. Create, Update and View share a separate challan-form layout choice; the list keeps its existing choice. Explicit layout links override the saved default for a visit. Failed preference saves retain the previous choice and offer Retry.
Switching on the same child screen keeps its setting identifier, query values, hash, navigation state and same mounted form engine. Editors use their original blur callback; clicking a layout switch may commit editor text to the local draft without submitting the form. Existing list actions, breadcrumb and Back links remain their original bare destinations and do not promise query or hash retention between pages.
Original settings and recovery
View retains the nine original saved values: ID, copies per page, note, header, footer and four copy names. HTML strings remain displayed as text; View does not interpret them or add a business action. Required-choice and mutation-state rules are unchanged. Loading, saving or failed setting/campus metadata hides stale content and print and blocks callbacks. Retry repeats the failed metadata query. The original missing-identifier navigation remains.
Browser Print
Print retains the current form fields or all nine saved text values. Added context/help and original hidden actions remain excluded. No dedicated Print, export, permission or message action is added. Layout switching does not save financial settings.
