Where to find it
HRM › Employee Attendance. Unlike students, staff are marked and corrected on the same screen: pick a date, and whatever is already recorded is shown ready to change.
Marking a day
- Pick the date.
- Set each member of staff's status, or use Mark All when the whole school is Present or Off.
- Press Save Attendance.
🔴 Mark All acts on what you can SEE
Mark All and the tick-box in the header apply to the visible rows. Search or filter first and they affect only that set — which is how you mark one department — but it also means a filter you forgot about silently narrows what you just marked. Check the grid before saving.
🔴 This is what salary reads
Employee attendance is not just a record. When salary is generated, leaves and absences from this screen drive attendance fines and deductions, and short leaves count against the allowances configured on the salary plan. Correcting attendance after a salary has been generated does not change that salary — it has to be deleted and regenerated.
Scans, and marking on top of them
QR and biometric punches write staff attendance as people arrive, with real in and out times. If you then mark somebody by hand, you change the status; the recorded scan times stay. Use the VD button on a row to see the individual punches behind it.
Holidays
When the date is in Core › Holiday Calendar, the screen says so and staff are not marked absent automatically that day. You can still mark attendance — staff do come in on closed days, and that is worth recording.
Locking a period
HRM › Lock Update Attendance closes a date range so nobody can change it after salaries are prepared. If a date refuses to save, check there first.
