Admin › Manage Certificates is where a certificate's text lives. Press Create and fill four things:
- Name — what the certificate is called, for example School Leaving Certificate
- Select Campus — templates are per campus, so branches can word things differently
- Header, Body, Footer — the wording, laid out as it should print
Each row also has View and Update, so wording can be corrected without rebuilding it.
Blank template sections
An imported certificate may leave Header, Body or Footer blank. A blank section opens as empty text in the editor, so you can update and save the template normally. Fill the sections your school needs; a blank section does not add wording to the certificate.
Then print it
Printing is a different screen: Extras › Print Certificates or Date Sheets › Print Document. Pick the student, pick the certificate, print. Every issue is recorded in Extras › Certificates Logs.
So: define it here once, issue it there as often as you need.
Steps
- Go to Admin › Manage Certificates
- Press Create
- Name it and choose the campus
- Write the header, body and footer
- Save, print one for a test student, and check it on paper before issuing any
Common confusion
"The certificate is blank when I print it." No template exists for that student's campus. Templates are per campus.
"The wording is right but the school header is missing." That comes from your branding, not from this screen.
"Can I edit the wording after issuing some?" Yes, and only future prints change. Certificates already handed out are paper — the log records that they were issued, not what they said.
