Yes — Admin › Attendance Alerts. Switch it on and the system raises an alert a set number of minutes after the expected Time-In has passed without a mark.
This is the screen that answers "who has still not been marked in today?" — not a device or gate question, and not a report you have to go and run. The alert comes to you.
Two switches, set separately
There is one setting for students and one for employees, each with:
- on or off
- a delay in minutes after the decided Time-In
15 minutes is the default. Pick a delay that matches how your school actually runs: too short and the alert fires while the register is still being taken; too long and it tells you something you already know.
Where the alerts appear
On the same screen, with unread ones badged. It is a list you check, not a message that chases you.
The Time-In it counts from
The alert is measured from the decided Time-In — for staff, that comes from the shift assigned on HRM › Manage Employees › Manage Time In/Out. An employee on no shift has no expected time, so nothing can be late.
Steps
- Go to Admin › Attendance Alerts
- Switch on the student side, the employee side, or both
- Set the minutes for each
- Save, and check the list the next morning
Common confusion
"Alerts are not appearing for staff." They have no shift assigned, so there is no Time-In to measure against.
"Alerts for a day we were closed." The alert reacts to attendance not being marked; it does not know your holiday calendar.
"Does it send an SMS?" No. These are in-app alerts on this screen. Messages to parents are the Communication Center and the SMS screens.
