A fee plan list is a named set of charges — for example Regular, Staff Child, Sibling, Hostel. Each student is put on one, and it decides what their challan contains.
Go to Core › Fee Plan List, fill Fee Plan Name and Description, then press Create. Both boxes are required — nayi fee plan list banani hai to sirf naam aur description, aur kuch nahi.
Where it fits in the chain
Creating the plan is only the first of four steps. On its own it charges nothing:
- Core › Fee Plan List — name the plan (this screen)
- Core › Manage Fee Plan Lists in Campus — tick which campuses may use it
- Core › Fee Particulars in Fee Plan List — tick which charges the plan contains
- Core › Particulars Amount and Repeating Months — set each charge's amount and months
A plan that stops at step 1 will not appear when you assign a student, and a plan that stops at step 3 produces a zero challan.
How many plans do we need — kitni banayen?
One per pricing group, not one per class. Different classes paying different tuition is handled by the amounts in step 4, not by separate plans. Most schools need only a handful: a regular plan plus concession plans.
Why a plan will not delete
If students are assigned to it, or challans were issued from it, the system refuses. Leave it in the list and untick it from every campus instead — that takes it out of use without touching history.
Common confusion
"Two students in the same class need different fees." Put them on different fee plan lists. That is exactly what plans are for.
"Staff child ka alag fee plan chahiye." Make a plan here for them — Staff Child — tick its campuses and its particulars, set its amounts in step 4, and put those children on that plan. Their class does not change, only the plan does.
"Can I copy a plan?" No copy button. Create the new plan, then tick its particulars and enter its amounts.
