Why is my fee plan missing at a campus, and the Fee Plan list empty when I assign it to a student?

Last updated

Because it has not been ticked for that campus. Core › Manage Fee Plan Lists in Campus pairs each fee plan with the branches allowed to use it: plans down the side, campuses across the top.

Nothing needs saving — a box takes effect the instant you tick it, and reverts with a message if it is refused.

Steps

  1. Go to Core › Manage Fee Plan Lists in Campus
  2. Find the fee plan row
  3. Tick the column of each campus that uses it

Making a plan available everywhere

The yellow All Campuses box at the end of the row opens that plan to every branch at once. Your standard plan usually wants this; a concession plan usually does not.

What depends on this

  • Assigning a plan to a student — the Fee Plan dropdown on the admission form offers only the plans ticked for that student's campus. An empty list at that moment (fee plan assign karte waqt list khali) means no plan has been ticked here for that branch yet
  • Core › Fee Particulars in Fee Plan List — a plan appears in a campus's table only once it is ticked here
  • Core › Particulars Amount and Repeating Months — rows exist only for plans that reached that campus

So an empty screen further down the chain almost always traces back to a missing tick here.

Common confusion

"I unticked a plan that students are already on. Did I break their fees?" Existing challans are untouched. Unticking stops the plan being offered at that campus; it does not delete anything already issued.
