Open Absentees
Go to Exam & Att → Student Attendance → Absentees. The original report opens first unless you chose another default. Try the new layout opens the workspace without changing your default.
Make this my default saves your own attendance-report layout at this institute. Summary, Daywise, Individual, Absentees and Attendance Sheet share this choice. View old layout opens the original report, where Make old layout my default restores it. Other users and attendance marking keep their own choices.
Load and narrow the records
Choose From and To, optionally Absentee Count and Consecutive Days, then press Get record. The academic-year picker can fill the date range. Each student row contains its recorded absences. Search and the column filters narrow the loaded students across pages. Column settings keep your existing order and visibility choices.
Changing dates and options requires Get record again. The loaded range stays with the report until it is replaced. Loading and errors hide stale output; controls are disabled while busy. Check the filters and retry after a failure.
Select, export and print
Select attendance records inside the student rows. The Attendance heading checkbox selects the full filtered record set across pages. Selections survive filter changes, but Print selected includes only selected records inside the current search and column filters. Read the selected/hidden counts before printing. If every selection is hidden, printing is refused rather than printing other records.
Excel and PDF exports include the current filtered students across pages and do not use the record checkboxes. Consecutive Days keeps its existing one-line-per-student print behavior.
Record follow-up status
Update status opens the existing contact-status and reason form. Saving it only records that status and reason; it does not call a parent or send SMS. It does not mark attendance. The original options, required fields and permissions remain in force.
