Open User Logging
Core Settings → User Logging. Existing access checks, record links and the separate activity summary remain unchanged.
Choose your layout
Classic opens first unless you save another default. Try the new layout and View old layout switch both ways. A layout in the page address takes priority for that visit. Failed default saves keep the previous choice and offer Retry. Switching views keeps current severity, date and routine filters, table state, open details and page address. It does not create or change log records.
Original log scope
Use the original seriousness and From/To date controls to narrow the log. Include routine system entries keeps its original availability rule when a seriousness filter is selected. Clear restores the original unfiltered control values. A real change to severity or dates in the page address still follows the original nonempty-value initialization; switching layouts alone does not replace current filter drafts. The original table asks for 50 rows initially and retains its filters, server paging, page-length choices, grid settings and Excel/PDF controls. Changing page-level filters still resets the request to page 1. Sorting remains disabled; no new sort or bulk action is added.
Details and yesterday
Original View details and Go to it controls keep their existing data, record destinations and availability checks. Details use the original dialog and Close control. A missing record does not gain a new destination. Yesterday reads the existing stored daily summary when available; its Show me control applies the original date and seriousness filters. An unavailable summary does not block the log. Opening this page does not generate or send a digest.
Loading and recovery
While log data or table settings are loading, the new view temporarily disables filters and hides previously loaded rows. Your current filters and table state are retained for recovery. Retry log reads reloads the failed log data or table settings for the current view. An unavailable daily summary does not block the log. Details and record links keep their existing availability checks. Classic retains its original loading and error presentation.
Native Print
Native Print keeps the existing rendered log, margins and control visibility. No new paper format or export is added.
