What this page does now
EDUBase does not offer a hosted WhatsApp portal from this page. There is no Open WhatsApp Portal button. Schools send from their own computer, or through their own Walink account.
WhatsApp Sender for Windows
Download the installer, enter your institute code, scan the QR with the school WhatsApp number, and leave that PC switched on with the app open. Messages you queue in EDUBase go out from that computer.
Windows may show Windows protected your PC. That is normal for an installer that is not in the Microsoft Store. Click More info, then Run anyway.
Who sends your WhatsApp messages
- EDUBase — messages come out of your EDUBase message balance.
- My own Walink account — you pay Walink; your EDUBase balance is not used. The Walink account must already be connected on Manage WhatsApp.
Is the WhatsApp sender free?
For most schools, yes — EDUBase currently allows the WhatsApp Sender for Windows for every school. If your school also holds a WhatsApp subscription with a message balance, that balance is used first and the sender shows it.
If your WhatsApp stops sending
Work down this list. The first mismatch is almost always the cause.
- Is that PC switched on, connected, and the app still open? This is the answer far more often than everything else put together. Messages are not lost while it is closed — they wait, and go out when it is opened again.
- Is the number still linked? WhatsApp drops a linked device that has been offline a long time. If the app shows a QR code again, scan it again from the same phone.
- Does the sender say “WhatsApp Subscription Not Found” or “Expired”? Your school is not currently allowed to send. Only EDUBase can change that — please ask us in your WhatsApp support group. Nothing on your side will fix it, and reinstalling will not help.
- Does it say “Limit Reached”? Your paid message balance is finished. Ask us to top it up.
- Was the message actually queued as WhatsApp? Anything sent as App SMS or Branded SMS never reaches this sender.
Old messages are not sent when you link
When WhatsApp is linked for the first time, EDUBase deliberately gives the sender only recent messages — about the last week. Sending months of old notices at once is the fastest way to get a WhatsApp number blocked. To send something older, send it again as a new message.
If the download card is not on this page
The card only appears for schools allowed to use the sender. If it has disappeared, your school’s WhatsApp access has been switched off — please ask us in your WhatsApp support group. An older copy of the installer will not work around it: it is the sending that is switched off, so a copy you already have will pair and then send nothing.
