Admin › Geo Location Attendance pins each campus to a point on a map and a radius around it. A mark made outside that circle can then be treated differently from one made inside.
Schools come to it when ghar baithe ya raste se attendance laga rahe staff ko rokna ho — with the circle enforced, a mark made outside it does not count.
Setting it up
- Go to Admin › Geo Location Attendance
- Choose the campus
- Move the marker to the school on the map
- Set Radius (meters) — the circle around that point; the slider accepts 15 m at the smallest and 2,000 m at the largest
- Tick Enable Geo Attendance, and Allow only within Fence if a mark made outside the circle must not count — hazri sirf school ke andar se lage
- Save, and repeat for each campus — the table below lists every campus with its radius and status
Choosing the radius
Too small and staff standing at the far gate are refused; too large and the next street counts as inside. Phone GPS is accurate to a few tens of metres at best, and worse indoors, so leave room — a radius that only just covers the building will produce complaints on cloudy days and in basements.
Start generous, watch a week of real marks, then tighten.
What it does not do
It records or restricts where a mark was made. It does not decide who made it — a phone can be handed to a colleague standing inside the circle. If that matters, the face-attendance app or a gate device is the answer, not this.
Common confusion
"A teacher inside the school was refused." GPS drift, or the radius is too tight. Widen it.
"It is not applying at our second campus." Each campus is pinned separately — set that one too.
"Does this cover students?" This screen is for staff attendance. Student attendance runs through the class register, the QR app or a gate device.
