Go to Core › Sections, type the name and press Create. The list below shows every section name your school uses.
Add several at once
Ek sath saare sections banane hain? The box takes a comma separated list, so every section name goes in with one press of Create:
Red, Green, Blue
or
A, B, C, D
If one name in the list is rejected, the whole batch is rolled back — nothing is saved until every name is valid.
Then put them into classes
Sections created here are just names. To make Section A exist inside Class One at a particular campus, go to Core › Manage Sections in Classes and tick it there. Until you do, the section will not appear on the admission form.
You create each section name once, no matter how many classes use it. The same "A" is ticked into Class One, Class Two and Class Three — you do not create three separate A's.
Why a section will not delete
If students are sitting in that section, the system refuses and says it is already linked with students. Move those students to another section first, or simply untick the section from every class on Core › Manage Sections in Classes to take it out of use without deleting it.
Common confusion
"Sections are not showing on the admission form." They are not attached to that class and campus yet — Core › Manage Sections in Classes.
"Do I need a section?" Only if you split a class. A class with one group can be left with a single section.
