How do I put sections into a class so the Section dropdown on the admission form is not empty?

Last updated

Core › Manage Sections in Classes is laid out as one card per campus. Within a card you get a row per section and a column per class taught at that branch; tick where the two meet. That tick is the link between a section and a class — section ko class ke sath yahin link kiya jata hai, campus by campus.

Your tick is stored as you make it, so there is nothing to submit at the end.

Steps

  1. Go to Core › Manage Sections in Classes
  2. Scroll to the card for the campus you are setting up
  3. Find the section row
  4. Tick the column of each class that has that section

Splitting every class the same way

Most schools divide every class identically — A, B and C throughout. The yellow All Classes box does that in one action for the whole card, instead of one tick per class.

Why the campus matters

The links are per campus, not school-wide. If Class One at the Main Campus has sections A and B, that says nothing about Class One at your second branch — tick it separately in that campus's card.

Common confusion

"Admission form mein section dropdown khali hai." The Section list on the admission form fills from the class you picked, at that campus. If that class has no section ticked in this screen's card, the dropdown stays empty — tick one here and it fills.

"A class column is missing from the card." That class is not attached to this campus. Tick it on Core › Campus-Classes first, then come back.

"A section row is missing." The section name does not exist yet — create it on Core › Sections.

"The page shows no cards at all." No campus has any classes attached yet — start at Core › Campus-Classes.
