Tick the challans (fee vouchers) on Admissions › Pay or Print Fee Challans, choose the print settings on the form above the grid, then press one of the print buttons. Each opens a preview page with a Print button — from the browser's print box you can send it to a printer or save it as a PDF.

The four print buttons
All stay disabled until at least one row is ticked.
| Button | What you get |
|---|---|
| Print Horizontal | The wide (horizontal) challan layout |
| Print Vertical New | The current portrait layout |
| Print Vertical | The older portrait layout — still available for schools used to it |
| Print Family Challans | Selected challans grouped by Family No — one combined sheet per family, all the family's children together (sab bachon ka ek challan); a child with no family number prints on their own |
Settings that change what is printed
- Print Multiple Students On One Page with No. Of Students On One Page (2–5) — this is the fix for a 90-page printout: two or three challans per sheet instead of one
- Number of Copies — Default (From Challan Settings), or 1, 2 (Parent / Office) or 3 (Parent / Office / Bank) for this print run only; the standing value lives on Admin › Challan Settings. 📺 HOW PRINT MULTIPLE CHALLAN COPIES — https://youtu.be/XnNo1kkgN4M
- All Payable Amounts — every unpaid month of the student on one challan instead of only the ticked one; with Print Family Challans it pulls every unpaid challan of everyone in the family
- Print Actual Amounts / Print Actual and Discounts — show the plan's standard fee, or the fee and the discount, instead of only the net
- Print Total Remaining Payable Amount, Print Other Pendings, Print Remaining Total — balance lines
- Hide Challan Status, Hide Zero Amount Particulars, Print Expiry Date, Custom Due Date For Print
- Hide Fine/Surcharge Heading (vertical) and Hide Before/After Due Date Heading (horizontal)
Steps
- Filter the grid to the month, class or family; tick the rows (Select All for the page)
- Set the options above — especially students per page and copies
- Press the layout button; check the preview
- Press Print, choose Save as PDF if you are sending it on WhatsApp
Nothing to print? Generate the challans first
A student appears on Pay or Print Fee Challans only after their challan has been generated. New students who are on View/Edit Fee Plans but not here have a fee plan and no challan yet: go to Admissions › Generate Challan, generate their month, then come back to Admissions › Pay or Print Fee Challans — the vouchers are there to print.
The print preview opened but there is no print button — press Ctrl+P
On the preview page press Ctrl+P (Cmd+P on a Mac) to open the browser's print box. From there print, or choose Save as PDF as the destination to keep a PDF. If colours come out white, tick Background graphics under More settings.

Printing only one month (e.g. only September)
Filter the grid to that Challan Month, tick those challans and print — leave All Payable Amounts unticked, because that option pulls every unpaid month on to one challan. If a student still owes earlier months, those amounts can appear on the September challan as arrears — that is the balance they owe, not a second challan.
Only one copy (no office copy)
Set Number of Copies to 1 (Single Copy) for this print run. To change it for every print, set the copies on Admin › Challan Settings.
One challan for the whole family (siblings together)
Each child's challan is generated separately, but you can print them together: tick the family's challans and press Print Family Challans — every child with the same Family No comes on one combined challan. The family can also pay them together (see "How do I take a payment from a whole family in one go"). A child without a family number prints alone, so make sure siblings share one family number.
Common confusion
"No print setting option comes out readable, and the vouchers run to 90–100 pages." Every voucher is going on a page of its own. Turn on Print Multiple Students On One Page, set 2 or 3 students per page, and the same run is a third of the pages. Then pick the layout whose spacing your printer handles best.
"It looks fine on screen but prints badly." Turn off browser headers/footers in the print box and print from the saved PDF. If a layout still cuts off, try the other vertical layout — the two differ in spacing.
Campus challan branding drafts
In Setup → Institute Setup → Challan branding, select a campus, edit its copies, paper, printed fields, bank details, footer, note, copy names and student photo, then enable Apply these settings for this campus to use the saved draft when printing. With the switch off, existing Challan Settings continue to print. Disabling the switch returns to those settings. The preview follows the selected campus, and other campuses keep separate drafts. Brand colours and Payment QR remain school-wide; the bank logo stays managed in Challan Settings. This changes print presentation, not challan amounts or payments. Existing Challan Settings and campus bank-detail privileges still apply.
