Open Finance → Fee Defaulters Total Amount and choose Number of Months. This counts distinct billed months that still have a positive unpaid balance. A partly paid month counts once; paid or fully discounted challans do not count. The 5+ filter means five or more pending months. Future Challans decides whether future billed months are included.
The summary cards cover all filtered students, not only the current page. Your permitted campus scope and the report's class and other selections still apply.
Use Promise Date to review existing payment promises and remarks. Clear follow-up filters clears the month and promise-date selections. Payment and message actions keep their existing workflow; choosing filters does not send messages.
Dashboard widgets
On Dashboard → Widgets → Library, add Aging Pending Fees or Promise to Pay, subject to your dashboard and widget visibility permissions.
- Aging Pending Fees groups currently enrolled students into 1, 2, 3 and 4+ pending-month buckets and shows their unpaid balances. Future challans are excluded. Click a bucket to open the matching filtered report.
- Promise to Pay shows today's payment promises and existing remarks for currently enrolled students with unpaid fees. The widget lists up to 100 students; its summary covers every match. Open report opens all matches.
Aging measures how many billed months still have a balance, not the number of calendar months since the oldest bill. Both widgets are follow-up views and do not send reminders themselves.
