Yes — General › Parent App Privileges. Each app feature can be left open, set to warn, or set to block for families whose fees are overdue.
- warn — the parent still sees the feature, with a message
- block — the feature is closed, with a message explaining why
Two things can never be blocked
Fee Details and Get Help / Contact Us are always available, whatever the rules say. A parent must always be able to see what they owe and to reach the school — blocking either would make the restriction impossible to resolve. Even an old rule that says block is clamped back to warn for these two.
What can be restricted
Notice Board, Attendance, Daily Diary, Academics / Marks, Exam Report Cards, Date Sheet, Leave Application, Complaints & Suggestions, Student Profile, Messages.
Which rule wins
Top of this list wins:
- A manual override for that one student — including an override set to allow, which is how you exempt a family the rules would otherwise catch
- A rule, most specific first: a campus rule beats an all-campus rule, and a rule for more months overdue beats one for fewer
- Allow, if nothing matches
So a family with a genuine reason is handled with an override on that student, not by weakening the rule for everybody.
Steps
- Go to General › Parent App Privileges
- Set each feature to allow, warn or block, and at how many months overdue
- Start with warn for a month and see who it would have caught
- Add overrides for the families you decide to exempt
Common confusion
"A parent says the app is broken." Check this screen for that student before treating it as a fault — a blocked feature is working as configured, and the screen shows why a student is restricted.
"They paid but are still blocked." The restriction follows overdue months on the challans. Check the payment was recorded against the right months.
"Report cards are blocked but marks are visible." Blocking report cards alone is enforced by the app; blocking Academics is enforced by the server. If it must be certain, restrict Academics.
