General › PTM Events is the whole occasion — "1st Term PTM 2026-27". The class-wise meetings you make on General › PTM sit under it, and the PTM Report compares one event with another. Each card shows its meetings, students, parents attended and evaluations written.
Steps
- Press New PTM Event; give it a Name and a Starts on date (Term, Academic year, Ends on and Notes are optional)
- Decide Notify parents in the app when this event is published — it is ticked by default
- Optionally tick Allow teachers to record voice notes and set a Feedback opens / closes window
- Save — the event is a Draft; nobody has been told
- Create the class meetings on General › PTM, choosing this event
- Come back and press Publish, then Publish and notify in the confirmation
🔴 Publish is outbound and cannot be undone
Publishing makes the event visible to parents and, if Notify parents is ticked, notifies every family in scope — the confirmation names how many students across how many class meetings first. There is no un-publish. If you do not want parents told, untick Notify parents before publishing; the confirmation then says nothing will be sent.
You cannot publish an empty event: with no class meeting under it the screen refuses with Add at least one class meeting before publishing this event.
Draft, Published, and the Delete button
- Delete only exists while the event is a Draft. A published event cannot be deleted — parents have already been told.
- Deleting a draft does not delete its class meetings; they stay on the PTM list with no event attached, because they hold what teachers wrote.
- Edit works at any time. Completed and Cancelled exist as badges, but this screen has no button to set them.
Names and the feedback window
- Two events cannot share a name in the same campus and academic year; other years can reuse "1st Term PTM".
- Ends on cannot be before Starts on; Feedback closes cannot be before Feedback opens.
- Leave both feedback boxes empty and parents can give feedback as soon as their child's evaluation is saved, with no closing date.
Common confusion
"The screen says PTM events are not enabled for this institute yet." The events feature has not been switched on for your school — ask support.
"One family got no notification." A parent whose app never registered on a phone gets no push; they see the PTM on next open.
