Bulk Edit changes one or more fields for all the students you have ticked on a list, in one go — bohot saare students ka data ek hi baar mein change karna, without opening har student alag alag to edit. It is on Extras › All Students, Admissions › Manage Students, Extras › Students By User and Admissions › Admission Queries, and opens the Bulk Status Change form.

Steps
- Open a student list, for example Extras › All Students
- Filter or search until the students you want are on screen, then tick their rows — the Bulk Edit button stays grey until at least one row is ticked
- Click Bulk Edit
- Set only the fields you want to change: Select Status, Select Group, Select Gender, Select Session, Fee Plan, With Effect From (a month) and, on Manage Students, Select House
- Click Update — you are returned to the list
The ticks are the selection
Whatever is ticked is what changes — not everything the filter matches. Only the rows on the page in front of you can be ticked, so for a big group raise Rows per page (50 up to 3000) until they all fit on one page, tick them, and check the ticks before you press Update. Leaving every field empty keeps Update disabled; a field you leave empty is not touched.
Status changes and the leaving date
Choosing a status other than Currently Enrolled or Admission Query stamps the Date of Status Update (top left, defaults to today) as each student's leaving date — set it to the real leaving day first. Putting students back to Currently Enrolled in a class that is full (a seat limit on Core › Admission Capacity with the hold on) still saves, but they wait under Admissions › Admission Approvals before they are counted.
Reason/Notes is a scratch box for you while working — it is not saved to the records.
Change status from Manage Students, All Students or Admission Queries. The Bulk Edit opened from Students By User saves the other fields but not a status change.
With Effect From
The month you pick here becomes the "with effect from" month of every ticked student's fee plan — the month from which that plan starts to bill. Use it with a Fee Plan change at the start of a session.
Every change is recorded
Each field that changed is written to each student's Change Log, marked Bulk edit, with the old and new value and your name. If a bulk update went wider than intended, the log tells you exactly which students moved.

Common confusion
"Bulk Edit is grey." Nothing is ticked yet.
"It changed more students than I expected." More rows were ticked than intended (a Select All tick takes the whole page). Check the change log to see exactly who moved, then correct with a smaller selection.
"Class or section is not offered." By design — use Batch Transfer on the same list.
