Opening mobile notifications

Open the relevant mobile screen from a phone alert, with the correct school and child.

Open the screen from a phone notification

Tap a notification in the Android notification tray. The app opens the related screen after sign-in if needed. Opening an alert does not approve, pay, send or change a record. Your existing access still applies.

Parents

The alert selects the matching school and child from your linked children. A school-wide alert asks you to choose a child when more than one matches. Messages, PTM, diary, announcements, date sheets and roll-number slips open their available screens. A missing or unlinked child never silently selects another child. A general school message opens Notifications, where its message can be read.

Teachers

Messages open the conversation, reminders open Reminders and staff notices open Notice Board. Attendance, salary and leave alerts open their existing sections. A notification for another school asks you to use the correct school account. General or older alerts open Notifications.

Owners

Diary approval alerts open Diary Approvals. Messages open Live Chat; reminders open Reminders. Brief alerts open their insight, activity digests open Activity Log, and parent complaints or suggestions open the matching Connect list. A notification for another school does not open that school's data under your current login.

If an alert has no direct destination

Old notifications may have been sent without a screen or record identifier. They open the relevant list or Notifications with the available message. If a record has been removed or your access has changed, use the screen's normal refresh, sign-in or access message. Keep your app updated through Google Play or General → EDUBase App Links.
