How do I see how many students are present, absent or unmarked today, class by class and section by section, for all campuses (Attendance Summary)?

Where in EDUBase: Exam & Att › Attendance Report › Attendance Summary

Last updated

Exam & Att (formerly Exam & Attendance) › Attendance Report › Attendance Summary is the one-date snapshot — aaj class wise kitne bache aaye, kitne absent, kitne unmarked: pick a day and it shows, for every campus you have rights to, how many students were marked, how many were not, and how many fell under each status. With today preselected, it is the quickest way to see today's present count for the whole school.

Steps

  1. Choose Select Attendance Date (today is preselected) and press Get Summary.
  2. Read the Class Wise Attendance Report — one table per campus with a row per class: Total Students, Marked, Unmarked, then one column per active status (Present, Absent, Late…) as count ( % ). A Total row closes each campus and a Grand Total (All Campuses) closes the last one.
  3. Scroll to Section Wise Attendance Detail — per class, one row per section with plain counts and Unmarked, and a class Total row with percentages.
  4. Use Save as image (a PNG file) or Print — either for the whole class-wise or section-wise report, or with the small buttons above one campus block for that campus alone.

How the numbers are made

  • Total Students is the roll as at that date, not today's roll. Opening last week's summary after new admissions does not move last week's percentages.
  • Unmarked = Total Students − Marked, never below zero. Percentages are rounded to whole numbers and are shares of Total Students.
  • Only statuses switched on under Admin › Attendance Acronym Active/Inactive get a column.
  • Classes with no students on that date are hidden; a campus with no classes to show is skipped.
  • You see only campuses in your own campus privileges.
  • The header above each campus is that campus's Attendance Summary branding from Exam › Manage Brandings; without one, the school logo, name and address are used.

What it does NOT do

It has no class or section filter and no date range — one date, whole school. For a range use Combine Attendance Report; for one child use Individual Attendance Report.

Common confusion

"Marked is smaller than Total Students." Somebody's register was not taken that day. Take Attendance still accepts a past date.
