Exam & Att (formerly Exam & Attendance) › Attendance Report › SMS Report is the log of every message the student side created — attendance SMS, marks and diary SMS, fee and general student SMS, SMS Blaster and testing messages — newest first. It shows whether the SMS App actually sent them to the parents' numbers — attendance ya fee ka SMS parents tak gaya ya nahi, this is where to look.
Reading a row
- SMS Status: Not Set = still waiting for your SMS App phone (pending, not yet sent); Sent = the phone reported it sent; Disabled = held back on purpose. WhatsApp rows show Queued or Sent instead.
- Message type says APP SMS, WhatsApp SMS, or your Branded gateway's reply. The report no longer has a Device ID column; read SMS Status and Send_at instead.
- Description records the student, the number, who triggered it and when.
- All / SMS / WhatsApp filters by channel; the search box and per-column boxes narrow; Excel / PDF export what is filtered.
Actions (tick rows first — pehle rows select karein)
- Resend SMS — puts the message back in the queue (status returns to Not Set, count +1) so the SMS App sends it again — SMS dobara bhejne ke liye.
- Disable Selected SMS — sets Disabled; the SMS App will never collect it. Use it for a wrong message before the phone picks it up.
- Delete Selected SMS — removes the log row and the queued message, after a confirmation.
- Delete Sent SMS — deletes every already-sent Examination message (marks, diary and testing SMS) and its log in one go; attendance, fee and Blaster messages are untouched. Confirmation, no undo.
- Send Testing SMS — type a number and a text; it is queued under your first campus like any other message, so a new row turning to Sent proves that campus's SMS App works.
Messages are moving slowly through the queue
SMS App v3.4 (version code 17) and later waits 20 seconds after each successfully sent school message, including a successful resend. Open EDUBase SMS App → Send SMS on the phone to see the countdown. Long messages start the countdown after all parts succeed; failed or skipped messages add no new 20-second pause. Fetching and reporting results over the network can add time after the countdown reaches zero. Parent login OTP texts use a separate path and do not wait for this timer.
Why some rows have no checkbox
Branded SMS go straight to the gateway; nothing is queued, so there is nothing to resend, disable or delete. Only App and WhatsApp rows can be ticked.
Common confusion
"Everything stays Not Set" — har SMS ka status Not Set dikha raha hai, kuch ja nahi raha. No SMS App phone is collecting for that campus — check the phone's campus selection (main screen shows Campus: … / Campuses: …, tap Change after stopping the service) and that the phone is on with the app running. A message is collected only by a phone that selected its campus.
"No SMS was created at all." For attendance, the campus's template for that status may be empty (Exam › SMS Template), or Send SMS Only Not Presents was on.
"Blaster rows stay Not Set forever." Delivery is shown for every kind of message except SMS Blaster; a Blaster row keeps Not Set even after the phone sends it.
