Exam & Att (formerly Exam & Attendance) › Attendance Report › SMS Blaster sends one message to any phone numbers you choose — not tied to a student, class or template. It is the screen for ek hi message bahut se numbers par bhejna ho — bulk SMS to a list of numbers: a notice, a reminder, anything. It has two parts: a saved contacts list (Create / Update / View / delete) and the Send SMS box above it.
Steps
- Type numbers in Add Contacts, separated by spaces — or tick saved contacts in the table below. While any row is ticked, the typed field is ignored.
- Write the message; Characters Count shows its length.
- Choose one channel: SMS App (default), Branded SMS or WhatsApp.
- Press Send SMS — it stays disabled until there is a message and at least one number — and confirm. The pop-up tells you how many unique numbers will get it.
Saving contacts
- Create asks for Contact and Description. Both are required — a contact saved without a description is refused.
- One contact can hold several numbers separated by spaces; all of them are counted at send time.
- The eye, pencil and bin on each row open View, Update, or delete after a confirmation. View shows who created and last changed the contact. The list is shared by everyone who can open the screen.
What happens after Send
- Nothing is sent from your browser. Messages are queued in the background and each number gets its own row on SMS Report, described as General SMS From SMS Blaster.
- Duplicate numbers are removed first; each number gets one copy.
- SMS App and WhatsApp messages wait for your phone's SMS App / WhatsApp sender to collect them. Blaster messages are queued under your first campus, so the SMS App phone must have that campus selected and be on.
- Branded SMS goes straight to the branded gateway EDUBase has arranged for your school. A school without one gets nothing sent and no report row — use SMS App or WhatsApp instead.
Common confusion
"SMS Report shows Not Set for my blaster messages, even after the phone sent them." The report does not track delivery for blaster messages; their rows stay at Not Set. Confirm on the phone's SMS App or with a recipient. Disable and Delete still work for these rows.
"Only some numbers received it." Numbers are split on spaces — a comma-separated list is read as one long number. Fix the contact and send again.
