The exam and result module is learned in one fixed order, and each step has its own EDUBase video. Do the six steps on your own school's data and that is the training for exams and results. Support in the top bar shows the same videos inside the portal; for a live session on this module press Talk to a human.
The learning path — in this order
- Add subjects — Exam › Subjects: Subject Name, Subject Group (make at least one group at Exam › Subject Groups first — with no group the subject is refused), Grading Type (Marks, Checkbox or Direct Grading), Show in Diary. 📺 Watch: CREATE & ASSIGN SUBJECT IN CLASS — https://youtu.be/HZyL9WvKfNY
- Attach subjects to each class — Exam › Subjects in Classes: Campus, Classes, Subjects. Only subjects attached here are offered on an award list for that class. (Same video.)
- Create the exam / test type — Exam › Test Type: pick the Campus(es), type the Exam Type name (Mid Term, Final…). Test types are per campus. 📺 Watch: HOW TO CREATE TEST/EXAM TYPE — https://youtu.be/rsDNn-Pn2eA
- Grading policy — Exam › Grading Policy (below), then attach it to each class at Exam › Class Grading Policy. A class with no policy gets no grade or remarks and every report refuses. 📺 Watch: CREATE & ASSIGN GRADING POLICY — https://youtu.be/6fF20T4WAR8
- Award list and marks — Exam & Att › Examination › Add Marks and SMS › Create Award List: Campus, Class, Section, one row per Subject with its Test Type, Exam Date, Oral/Written maximum marks and Teacher, then Generate Award List. Back on the list press Add Marks on its row and type the marks in — there is no Excel upload for marks. 📺 Watch: HOW CREATE AWARD LIST & ADD MARKS — https://youtu.be/b4PT519oXUM
- Print the result — Exam & Att › Examination › Examination Reports: Result Card, Combined Result Card and the rest. 📺 Watch: HOW PRINT EXAM REPORTS — https://youtu.be/7uamOSA5Gxw
"Upload results subject wise"
Marks are always entered per subject on an award list, so subject-wise results = an award list carrying that subject, then Add Marks. Student Filtering on the form: Class Wise — everyone in the class sits every subject on the list (the normal choice); Subject Wise — only students whose admission subjects include it (electives such as Biology or Computer).
Grades and remarks — the self-service part
At Exam › Grading Policy the form is titled Create Grades And Remarks: a Policy Name, then one row per band — Min Percentage, Max Percentage, Grades, a Direct Grading tick, Remarks and Final Remarks (Add More for another band; Min, Max and Grade are required). Remarks print beside each subject's grade and against the overall percentage; Final Remarks print in the result-card summary when the report's Show Final Remarks tick is on. To change them, press the pencil on the policy, edit, press Update — then open and save each existing award list again so the new bands apply.
A percentage in no band prints Grade Not Set for this Percentage — fix the band ranges, do not re-enter marks. A policy attached to a class cannot be deleted; deleting a free one cannot be undone.
