How do I print a Term Wise Report — one card per student with a column for each term and a weighted Final Report aggregate?

Where in EDUBase: Exam & Att › Examination › Examination Reports

Last updated

The Term Wise Report card on Exam & Att (formerly Exam & Attendance) › Examination › Examination Reports prints one page per student: subjects down the side, one column per Test Type you selected (First Term, Second Term, Final…), each cell obtained/total, then a Total row and a Percentage row per term. Optional columns add the year's Obt. Marks, %age and Grade per subject.

Steps

  1. Filters: Class, Section, the Test Types that are your terms, and an Exam Date From / To wide enough to hold all of them.
  2. On the card tick what to print: %age Column, Grade Column, Obt. Marks Column, Class Position, Section Position, Academic Attendance Summary, Grade and Remarks at Bottom, Show Final Remarks, Show Graphs, Show Final Aggregate.
  3. Preview, then Open Full Report / Generate for the print tab.
  4. In the tab press Print, or Export to Excel (one block per student).

The Final Report (aggregate) table

Ticked Show Final Aggregate prints a Final Report table under the marks — "10% of First Term", "10% of Second Term", "80% of Final" and a Final Total — and the grade/remarks at the bottom are worked out on that weighted percentage. The percentages come from Exam › Test Type Weightage, where a campus's test types must add up to 100 (or all stay 0 = off). With no weightage set, the table simply does not appear and the report is plain totals. Untick it to print plain totals even where a weightage exists.

What the report needs

  • The class must have a grading policy attached, or the report answers Class Grading Policy Not Set.
  • Only marks-based subjects are printed. A subject with no marks in a term shows 0/0 for that term.
  • Grade, remarks and final remarks come from the class's policy on the student's overall percentage; an uncovered percentage prints Grade Not Set for this Percentage.
  • Academic Attendance Summary counts the sessions selected in the filter, not the exam dates.
  • Header, body and footer come from the Term Wise Report layout in Exam › Manage Brandings, filled per student.

Common confusion

"No Data Found!" No marks in that date range for those test types — check Exam Date From/To first.

"The tab says 'No report parameters found'." The print tab loads its data once when it opens; a refreshed tab is empty. Close it, go back and press Generate again.

"The Final Report table is missing." Either Show Final Aggregate is unticked, or no weightage is set for these test types on this campus.
