The Subject Group Wise Report card on Exam & Att (formerly Exam & Attendance) › Examination › Examination Reports prints one card per student in which the subjects sit inside their subject groups: a small table per group (Sr., Subject, Obtain, Total or O/T + %age) with a group Total row, then a summary table — Groups Name, Obtain/Total, Percentage, Grade — plus Class Position and Section Position.
Steps
- Put every subject into a group first at Exam › Subject Groups.
- On Examination Reports set the filters (Class, Section, Test Type, Exam Date From/To) and Sort By.
- On the card tick Percentage Column (on by default) and/or Show Graphs (a Group Wise Performance chart under each card).
- Settings on the card holds this report's print settings — page size, orientation, scale, Header Logo, Watermark, Student Photo, Footer Notes and the chart type. Its watermark starts off.
- Preview loads the panel; Print / Export PDF there, or Open Full Report / Generate for the tab, then Print.
What decides the numbers
- A subject that is in no subject group does not appear on this report at all — not as an "Other" row, not anywhere. If a subject is missing, group it.
- Marks-based subjects are added into the group's Obtain/Total; a checkbox or direct-grading subject prints its grade in the row and adds nothing to the total.
- The final Percentage is all groups' obtained ÷ total; the Grade comes from the class's grading policy for that percentage.
- Class and section positions are the usual ranking for the date range and test types;
---means not ranked. - Header and body from Exam › Manage Brandings are printed inside every card with the student's tags filled in; the footer closes each card. When the branding already carries [studentName] and similar tags, the card's own student strip is not repeated.
Common confusion
"No Grading Policy Associated With This Class!" Attach a policy at Exam › Class Grading Policy — the report will not run without one.
"One group prints with empty rows at the bottom." Groups are drawn side by side, so every group's table is padded to the longest group's number of subjects. That is layout, not missing marks.
"The tab says 'No report parameters found'." The print tab loads its data when it opens; a refreshed tab is empty. Close it and press Generate again.
