How do I print the Month Wise Report — one row per student and one column per month of tests?

Where in EDUBase: Exam & Att › Examination › Examination Reports

Last updated

The Month Wise Report card on Exam & Att (formerly Exam & Attendance) › Examination › Examination Reports prints the class as one table: a row per student and a column for every month between Exam Date From and Exam Date To (Aug-26, Sep-26 …). Each cell is that student's obtained/total for all the tests sat in that month, followed by Total, %age, Grade and Sec/Class Pos.

Steps

  1. Filters: Class, Section, the Test Types to count (monthly tests, usually) and a date range covering the months you want as columns.
  2. On the card tick the columns: Sid, Roll No., Show Group, Show Contact, Obtain Marks, %age, Grade, Sec/Class Pos. Roll No., Group, Contact, Obtain Marks, %age and Grade are on by default.
  3. Preview for the panel, Open Full Report / Generate for the print tab.
  4. In the tab: Print, Export to Excel, and Show/Hide Graph for the Class Monthly Performance chart (the class's percentage month by month).

What the numbers mean

  • The month of a test is taken from its exam date. All tests of that month, all subjects, are added into one figure per student.
  • A month inside the range with no test at all still gets a column, showing 0/0.
  • Only marks-based subjects count. Conduct-style graded subjects are ignored.
  • Contact is the father's mobile number (the student's own contact when there is none); Group is the student's group/discipline.
  • Grade comes from the class's grading policy on the student's overall percentage; class and section positions are ranked on the same date range and test types, and an unranked student shows ---.

Common confusion

"Class Grading Policy Not Set." This report refuses without a grading policy on the class — attach one at Exam › Class Grading Policy.

"Every month shows 0/0." The Test Type filter does not match the tests entered, or the exam dates on the award lists fall outside the range.

"I only want one section per page." Choose the section in the filter and generate once per section; the report is one table, not one page per section.

"The tab is blank after a refresh." A print tab loads its data once; close it and press Generate again.
